Privacy policy

How Publiq processes and protects personal data.

Data controller

Publiq AS is the data controller for personal data processed through our websites and services.

Information we process

We process only information necessary to respond to enquiries, follow up customers and candidates, administer employment relationships and fulfil legal obligations.

Purpose and legal basis

Processing takes place to enter into or perform agreements, pursue legitimate interests, fulfil legal obligations, or on the basis of consent where required.

Storage and sharing

Information is not stored for longer than necessary. We share information with suppliers and public authorities only where there is a valid legal basis.

Visitor statistics and cookies

Google Analytics 4 (G-YT2GWGVYY4) is used only after you actively allow analytics. We send page views from public pages on publiq.no and www.publiq.no, not from the portal, owner area or login pages. We do not send form data, personal page titles, URL parameters or fragments to Google. Referrer addresses are omitted. Google also receives technical browser and network information, including the IP address during transmission; GA4 does not store individual IP addresses.

After consent, Google Analytics may use _ga cookies on analyse.publiq.no to recognise visits. They may last up to two years unless you withdraw consent or clear browser data. Google code runs in a frame on a separate domain without access to the main site's content or storage. Your choice itself is saved in localStorage until you change it or clear browser data. On decline, a necessary local denial marker is also stored in sessionStorage and a host-only cookie on the main site (up to one year), so stale consent cannot be reused if storage fails. You can withdraw consent using “Analytics settings” at the bottom of the page. This stops Google analytics, clears the analytics frame's cookies and deletes accessible legacy Google analytics cookies on the main site. Withdrawal does not automatically delete previously collected data.

Google processes analytics data on our behalf. Processing may involve transfers outside the EEA, including to the USA, under Google's applicable contractual terms and transfer safeguards. We do not use Google Signals, remarketing or advertising personalisation. Google's privacy information explains its processing in more detail. Google privacy information

The website also has separate first-party visitor statistics for the editorial portal. These existing statistics are independent of your Google choice and use a visit identifier in sessionStorage. Necessary storage for language and sign-in is not affected by the analytics choice.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or data portability, and you may object to processing. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
